Recovery Program Certification: Recovery support providers interested in becoming a DMH contacted RSS provider must either obtain DMH certification as a recovery support provider or obtain MCRSP/NARR accreditation for recovery housing. After obtaining certification or accreditation the provider must complete the Information for Bid (IFB) form.
Recovery Housing Certification: The Missouri Coalition of Recovery Support Provider is the statewide partner of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR). The Recovery Housing Standards accreditation process helps to increase the quality, respect, and recognition of recovery homes in Missouri through accountability and legitimacy. Each accredited facility is reviewed by a team of peer reviewers who assess the facility and ensure it meets the standard of care.
Recovery Support Specialist Certifications: The Missouri Credentialing Board offers two recovery support certifications. The Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) is for those who have a personal experience of a substance use disorder. The purpose of the Recovery Support Specialist (MRSS) Training is to train and credential qualified participants to work as staff and/or volunteers with people with a behavioral health disorder, including substance use.
